The npm package is a wrapper around the native binary, not an implementation of it. Its metadata declares no dependencies and eight platform-specific optional ones.

how it is built

On the licence: this is the only harness here that is not open source. Both the repository’s licence file and the published package’s licence file are all-rights-reserved Anthropic notices, so the practical answer is not in doubt, but they point at different legal pages and the package defers to the README. Which document governs depends on which artifact you obtained. Checked 19 August 2026; these pointers move between releases.

How we know: this repository ships documentation and issue templates, not source, so the language and runtime here were read out of the shipped binary rather than a manifest. GitHub reports the language as Python, which is wrong, and we do not use it.

going deeper

We have not measured this one yet. Opening a harness up means reading its source, sizing every subsystem and recording a real session. That takes a while, and we would rather do three properly than eleven badly.
